Two more daytime TV favorites are heading Beyond The Gates. Dial hoppers and real-life (estranged) marrieds Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins, General Hospital; ex-Craig Montgomery, As the World Turns et al.) and Cady McClain (ex-Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux, Days of our Lives; ex-Dixie Cooney Martin, All My Children; ex-Rosanna Cabbott, As the World Turns) have boarded the soon-to-premiere CBS sudser.

Per Soap Opera Digest, Lindstrom plays casino proprietor Joey Armstrong, while McClain’s Pamela Curtis is besties with Karla Mosley’s alter-ego.
Beyond the Gates debuts Monday, February 24 at 2PM EST / 1PM PST.

* EGOT G.O.A.T. and View moderator Whoopi Goldberg will be among the presenters at this year’s Oscar telecast. This will be her first appearance at the kudos-fest since 2016.
The 97th Academy Awards ceremony will be telecast on Sunday, March 2 at 8 PM EST on ABC (with a concurrent live stream and the ability to watch on-demand on Hulu).
* The eponymous Tamron Hall-fronted talker has been renewed for a 7th season. The host said in a statement: “It’s no secret I find inspiration in numbers. For many, the number seven represents a completion for us. For my team and I, Season 7 represents the continued growth of the show built by the Tam Fam. I am so excited to nurture and grow this special show with you.” (Variety was the first to report.)
* The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) has off-loaded a historic, three-story New York City building located at 56 West 66th Street, which previously housed the One Life to Live studio, netting around and about a cool $30 million.
New owner HUC — AKA the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion — who sold its former Greenwich Village home to New York University said in a statement: “We are thrilled to be moving into a beautifully renovated iconic building befitting our current and future educational and programmatic needs.
“This inviting new space will reflect the sacred purpose of our work and allow us to better serve our students, faculty, and staff. Our new home promises to be an inspiring place for Hebrew Union College to foster a flourishing educational community as we continue to shape the dynamic and innovative Jewish leaders we need for a thriving future.”
* Per Deadline, Billy Magnussen (ex-Casey Hughes, As The World Turns) snagged the male lead in Jonathan Glatzer’s untitled, AMC-bound Silicon Valley drama opposite Sarah Goldberg.
The series longline details a power struggle between “a self-appointed ‘inventor of the future’ tech CEO (Magnussen) and his self-serving ‘performance psychologist’ (Goldberg)” following a “scandal sparked by the exploitation of personal data.
* Holy Plot Twist, Batman! General Hospital alum Lindsey Morgan (ex-Kristina Corinthos) announced that she and her husband. Shaun Sipos, are expecting their first child together:

* The Young and the Restless nabbed the Writers Guild Award for Outstanding Daytime Drama on Saturday, besting perineal winner Days of our Lives, who’d taken the trophy home every year since 2021.
Congratulations are due to the team consisting of headwriter Amanda L. Beall and scripters Susan Banks, Jeff Beldner, Marin Gazzaniga, Lindsay Harrison, Marla Kanelos, Rebecca McCarty, Madeleine Phillips, and Dave Ryan.
Note: Named headwriter Josh Griffith is ineligible for the award owing to his Fi-Core status.
