Thanks to social media-savvy Casey Moss (JJ Deveraux), the cat’s out of the bag: Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux) and Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux) are back at the Days of our Lives studio!
Daily Drama News: Matthew Ashford And Melissa Reeves Back At DAYS
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that the beloved pair have returned to film scenes in the preamble to the Peacock sudser’s 60th anniversary (which technically falls on November 5, 2025).
When Jack and Jennifer were last onscreen, it fell to them to rally the displaced Horton clan for Doug Williams’ memorial service. In her last scenes, Reeves’ alter-ego warned cousin Hope (Kristian Alfonso) to keep a close eye on shifty Doug III.

* Congratulations are due General Hospital alum Anthony “Tony” Geary (ex-Luke Spencer), who recently celebrated six years of wedding bliss with long-time partner Claudio Gama.
* Students enrolled in participating historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in Georgia will soon have the opportunity to vie for a non-speaking walk-on role in an episode of Beyond The Gates.
Sheila Ducksworth, president of the CBS Studios/NAACP Venture and BTG EP, said in a statement:
“In addition to launching a groundbreaking series, we, and CBS, wanted to offer an aspirational experience for a young adult interested in exploring all things TV. We also wanted to pay homage to HBCUs — which have been a guiding force for students, families and communities for almost 200 years — and also thank Georgia for availing so many resources to us for the creation of Beyond The Gates.”
Those interested should keep a close eye on the sudser’s official Instagram page, which can be found HERE.
* Deadline is reporting that The Young and the Restless‘ former Summer Newman AKA Hunter King is set to appear in the season 7 finale of The Neighborhood alongside Justin Long, Kara Royster, and Angelique Cabral.
The installment will serve as a backdoor pilot for a potential spinoff series that would follow Neighborhood stars Marcel Spears and Sheaun McKinney whose characters would strike out on their own in Venice Beach. King, Long, Royster, and Cabrai would all potentially board the offshoot as regular players.
King is playing Bellamy, described in a breakdown as “sardonic and often under the influence of edibles.” She works “generating content for the coolest cannabis boutique in SoCal,” and, “despite her jaded outlook, she’s also hilarious, fun, and a fiercely loyal friend. Bellamy does have secret dreams of doing something bigger, but for now, she’s content in her carefully curated world of detachment and irony.”
* Part 2 of Tyler Perry‘s Beauty in Black, which includes daytime dial hopper Debbi Morgan (ex-Harmony Hamilton, The Young and the Restless; ex-Dr. Angela ‘Angie’ Baxter Hubbard, All My Children et al.) amongst its stacked ensemble, is set to drop on Netflix come Thursday, March 6. The initial eight episodes premiered in October of last year. Get a look at the trailer below:
