Some big names are heading your way this week…and some departing the scene. Get the scoop on all the latest soap comings and goings for the week of March 17th.
Comings and Goings
Beyond The Gates
* Najah Jackson and Jaden Lucas Miller racked up their first appearances as Samantha and Tyrell Richardson, respectively, on March 12.
The Bold and the Beautiful
* Per Deadline, Lauralee Bell will pop up in a trio of episodes scheduled to air April 24, 25, and 28. The special occasion? A fashion show, natch!
Said Bell in a statement to the outlet: “You never know when [B&B EP and headwriter] Brad Bell calls, if I’m going to be asked a [sibling] question or if I can come to B&B for a couple of days. He established this collaboration. Years ago I represented Ridge [Ron Moss] on a court case, and then several months ago, Danny and Christine stopped in during the summer because we’re on tour and he’s the rock star. And then they used Danny’s music for a Brooke’s Bedroom lingerie line. So the tie-in continues!”
* Reality TV-maven Spencer Pratt (“The Hills”) is set to guest star in the April 24th episode.

Days of our Lives
* Charles Shaughnessy is back at it as suave, secret-keeping super spy Shane Donovan.
* Tina Huang’s persnickety Melinda Trask goes toe-to-toe with formidable Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and a downright terrifying Julie Horton (Susan Seaforth Hayes).
* Mama Blake (Rose Gentle) puts EJ on notice this week.
* Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera), who celebrated 10 years of employment at Days of our Lives last September (2024), is heading for pastures new…and awfully familiar to fans of The Young and the Restless.
Ahead of landing in Genoa City later this spring, Flynn issued the following to TVInsider: “I am grateful for my years at DAYS; it changed my life in the best ways. I’ve always said these stories we tell are like doing a play, and I’ve spent the last 10-plus years playing this amazing character and telling one of the all-time great love stories. And now I’m excited for this opportunity and to test myself in a new way.”
General Hospital
* James Patrick Stuart‘s Valentin continues to skulk about town. Meanwhile, Scarlett Fernandez’s Charlotte settles back into her old routines.
* GH has snapped up Law & Order: Organized Crime’s Adrian Anchondo for a new contract role. He debuted Thursday, March 13 as legal eagle Marco.
* Enter Granny! Ellen Travolta (Gloria Cerullo) returned to Port Charles this week.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, who was the first to break the casting news, Rena Sofer (Lois Cerullo) gushed: “Lois’s return didn’t make sense to me if Ellen didn’t also come back from time to time. I love that she is such an important part of this story. And selfishly, Ellen is my adoptive mother — in my mind and heart — so any time spent with her is a gift to me.”
The Young and the Restless
* Christopher Cousins (Dr. Alan Laurent) and Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) put in more appearances this week — will the latter bust the former for his nefarious kidnapping scheme?
* Deadline is reporting that Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian are set to return to The Young and the Restless this June — they’ll hit the set at the tail end of April.
* As noted above, former DAYS star Billy Flynn is joining the cast later this spring. Y&R’s EP and headwriter, Josh Griffith, who wrote for Flynn during his 2015-2016 tenure as DAYS steward, told TVInsider: “On behalf of the entire company of The Young and the Restless, we look forward to welcoming Billy to the show. He will be a wonderful addition to Y&R’sstellar cast.”
