Daytime dial hopper Vincent Irizarry is mourning the loss of his mother, Carmella “Millie” Irizarry, who died on Saturday, April 5.

The much-loved actor shared the news with fans via his Instagram Stories, writing: “Yesterday morning, our beautiful mother passed away with her family surrounding her.”
After announcing that the family was in the process of “planning a celebration of life and memorial service to be held in New York tentatively sometime in July,” Irizarry expressed thanks for “all of the prayers, love, and support,” and added: “We are blessed for the gift she was to us.”
Per her obituary, Millie is survived by Frank Irizarry, her husband of 70 years, six children ( Frankie, Tracy, Vince, Michael, Tina, and Audra) “whom she loved unconditionally with no limits, which was extended lovingly to their spouses,” 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Millie was “an avid reader…a willing and great travel companion, as well as, a loyal and loving friend,” whose passions were “looking fashionable, cooking amazing dishes passed on by her family’s Sicilian Heritage, storytelling of our rich family history, as well as, listening to the recordings of Mario Lanza and Edith Piaf…
“Her greatest legacy is her beautiful face, and bright smile, her devout faith, along with the immense love she had for and shared with her family and friends.”
