The shocking murder of Heather on The Young and the Restless is hitting Daniel hard. He’s lost the love of his life and the woman who stood by his side and helped him raise his little girl. She was his friend, his partner, and the best mother Lucy could ever have. Yesterday, Daniel made the heartbreaking call to Paul to tell him of his daughter’s passing…and he asked him to come home.
Will Paul Williams FINALLY Resurface on The Young and the Restless?
Many have tried, and failed, to coax Paul (Doug Davidson) back to his old stomping ground, including Christine (Lauralee Bell). In fact, his insistence on staying overseas was one of the factors that ended their marriage. The much-missed former main-stay may have let romance slip through his fingers, but we can’t see Paul staying away after the death of his only baby girl.
We do have to wonder what Paul’s return would look like. Would he just pop in, bury his beloved Heather and take back off? Or, would he show up to attend the funeral and find a sense of peace and belonging being in the city he loved for so long? It’s been said more than once that Paul is lonely over in Portugal. Perhaps coming back to the waiting arms of his friends and community would be good for him.

Paul Fans Rise Up!
If he does come back, this return has been years in the making for his fans. As one of the longest-running characters, Paul made a lasting impact on Y&R viewers. We spent decades watching him fall in and out of love, solving cases, chasing criminals, and standing his ground with the town’s most dangerous villains. He was a fan favorite and his disappearance from the canvas has left quite a hole in the show.
Plus, let’s face it, Genoa City needs Paul now more than ever. Who else is going to catch Sharon (Sharon Case) and bring her to some sort of justice? With the GCPD basically empty of all its finest, it’s time to bring Paul back and let him do what he does best!
