The new year is right around the corner, and The Young and the Restless‘ top scribe (EP, butcher, baker, and candlestick maker), Josh Griffith, is offering up a smorgasbord of spoilers.
The Young and the Restless 2025 Spoilers
“[Next year] will be even better than 2024,” he teased to TVInsider’s Stephanie Sloan. ” It will be a whirlpool of romance, suspense, and family conflict.”
The sudser is barreling towards “a massive showdown” between the dynamic, diabolical duo that is Ian (Ray Wise) and Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott).
The repercussions promise to shake up Mariah (Camryn Grimes) “in a huge way and affect her relationship with Tessa [Cait Fairbanks]” as will serve to bring Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) “closer than ever.” Sharon and perennial rival Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) will also “be thrown into a life-or-death situation where they’re both going to have to reevaluate their relationship.”
When it’s all done and dusted, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) will continue to struggle with fully forgiving Sharon and will wind up taking “a walk on the emotional wild side.”
The renewed enmity between Jack (Peter Bergman) and Victor (Eric Braeden) will see the latter target Jabot (and not for the first or even third time). Look for Claire (Hayley Erin) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) to be caught “right in the middle.” And with trouble looming for the budding supercouple, Summer (Allison Lanier), “in true ‘I’m Phyllis’s daughter’ fashion, will A, feel a pull back to Kyle and B, sense an opening…”
As for Phyllis, she’ll slink her way in between Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) and become “the sort of darker angel on one shoulder of Billy’s while Sally is the lighter one on the other.”
Meanwhile, Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will begin to realize that “there’s more to their relationship that still exists beyond being parents.”
Finally, Nathan Owens’ debut will launch “a major, evolving mystery for the entire Winters family…especially on Lily [Christel Khalil].” Josh Griffith also hints that Audra’s [Zuleyka Silver] past will be explored. Expect a skeleton or two to tumble from that particular cupboard.
