Tricia Cast has been playing Nina Webster on The Young and the Restless on and off since 1986 — but more often off, owning to her relocation to Tennessee in 2001.

However, Y&R fans can always count on the ferocious Mama Bear and friend-to-the-end to show up when she’s needed most…or when a bestie needs comforting or when her sire needs a smack upside the head. And with Christine (Lauralee Bell) busily defending former stepson Daniel (Michael Graziadei) against murder charges and Chance (Conner Floyd) back on the force and leading the charge, Nina is needed in town more than ever.

Which explains exactly why fans and soap journalists alike set up and took notice when the actress posted a photo of her silhouette with the caption: “My California shadow. I recognize this shape!”

Does this mean that Nina is headed home? Viewers sure hope so. “Hope you’re making an appearance as Nina soon to check up on Chance,” enthused one. “Hope to see you on Y&R soon,” added another.

If Cast is indeed heading back to her old stomping grounds, this will make the first sighting of Nina since November 2023. While Y&R has offered no comment on a possible reprisal, Nina was namechecked during the October 25th episode.
