This week’s The Young and the Restless recap for April 8 – April 12, 2024, featured Victoria and Claire moving into the Tack House, Nikki hiding her drinking once again, the Abbotts holding an intervention to save Ashley, and more.
Monday, April 8
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Claire (Hayley Erin) moved into the Tack House, and the former rued the destruction of her former home…. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) talked Victor (Eric Braeden) into canceling the vacation and arranging an extravagant anniversary gala that will act as catnip for Jordan (Colleen Zenk).
Audra (Zuleyka Silver) unwittingly crossed with two of Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) alters. The dominant alter resolved to ensure that “Ash” doesn’t scuttle her plans…. Chance (Conner Floyd) filled Summer (Allison Lanier) in on Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Heather’s (Vail Bloom) firings. Summer, in turn, worked diligently to get Chance’s mind of the office politics — and hers off Claire (Hayley Erin).
Tuesday, April 9
Nikki and Victor decamped to the jazz club to plan their party. Victoria, Cole (J. Eddie Peck), and Claire joined them, and the latter got a crash course in the life and times of Neil Winters — her would-be stepfather…. Nikki continued to down vodka on the sly…. Victor noticed the chill between Claire and Summer and took the latter aside for a chat…. Victoria and Cole smooched.
Despite herself, Traci (Beth Maitland) broke Ashley’s confidence leading the family to unite in their resolve to stage an intervention…. Ashley’s alters did battle…. Daniel begged Lily () for ownership of Princess Louisa and threatened legal action when denied.
Wednesday, April 10
The Abbotts — and Tucker — confront Ashley. Her dominant alter lashed out at the assemblage, hurling (metaphorical) slings and arrows. Opposite, Ashley’s submissive, teenage alter desperately tried to awaken Host Ashley…. Audra relayed Tucker’s proposal to Sally (Courtney Hope).
Thursday, April 11
Fellow insomniacs Summer and Kyle (Michael Mealor) made up a twosome at the jazz lounge. He confided his troubles at work and floated the idea of Claire nannying for Harrison. Summer shut him down flat and gripped about everyone buying Claire’s redemption act.
Host Ashley finally regained control. Jack summoned Sharon (Sharon Case). While Traci took Ashley upstairs to regroup and rest, Sharon and Billy conferred and diagnosed what ails Ashley: Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Friday, April 12
The guests arrived for Nikki and Victor’s anniversary party and everyone was dressed to the nines. Nick made sure security was on high alert for Jordan and that she was a master at disguise.
At the Abbott mansion, Traci and Billy decided to stay home with Ashley (who was in bed) while Diane and Jack headed out to the celebration… Billy opened up to Traci about his experience with D.I.D.
Back at the party, Harrison stuck to Claire like glue which worried Summer to no end. Later, Kyle left to take him home and Claire found the kiddo’s special gold bunny. She decided to hang onto it instead of simply giving it to Summer.
While the speeches were said and the toasts were made, Jordan lurked outside and watched through the windows.
