On Friday, March 15, former Bold and the Beautiful star Kristolyn Lloyd [ex-Dayzee Leigh] received an eviction notice. In the days that followed, she took to Instagram and shared that she’d set up an emergency GoFundMe in the hopes of raising the money she so desperately needed to remain in her beloved home of nearly a decade.

At the time Lloyd wrote in part, “I am posting this because, full transparency: Ya girl isn’t doing well…I am battling my ego and shame right now asking for help but — with the support of my friends — I have been encouraged to reach out to my community. So, here it is: I need help.
“I owe my landlord back-pay, not only from the pandemic when my roommate left but also from the two work stoppages last year. I understand this is a significant time of struggle for many of us, so please know I get the weight of this ask. I love my career and, although I have been fortunate to work consistently as an actor, I’ve accumulated tens of thousands of dollars in debt. As Da’Vine Joy Randolph said after receiving her Oscar, ‘theatre actors deserve better pay.’”

Lloyd was seeking to raise $15,000, and as of March 19, she has succeeded that goal by over $35,000! In a subsequent Instagram video, an overwhelmed, teary-eyed Lloyd shared, “My whole body has been shaking since, like, Friday when I got the papers, and it hasn’t stopped…I’m just completely — I mean, I said it before — I’m overwhelmed, and I hate that I spent so long just, like, suffering in silence and that I felt so sure that the response was not going to be this immense amount of love that it has been…Thank you for believing in me and for, you know, showing up. I’m so embarrassed that I didn’t know how much love I had in my life, but depression will do that; it’ll make you think you’re alone. So, um, thank you all. I’ve just been crying all day…I’m very, very, very, very, very thankful. I’m very grateful.”
