Much like the fans who tune in on the daily, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steff Forrester Finnegan) lives for the juicy drama pumped out by The Bold and the Beautiful‘s headwriter/executive producer Bradley Bell — and that’s certainly drama a plenty in the wake of Steffy’s showing Hope (Annika Noelle) the door and her perennial rival’s team-up with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to wreck shop.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood On New And Old Feuds
“It’s wonderful when Steffy is in normal CEO, mom, and wife mode, which is totally possible in real life. But I’m always grateful to Brad Bell when he writes strong Steffy. Steffy with a purpose. Steffy in a predicament,” enthused the actress to Soap Opera Digest. “All I can say is it will get more intense, more fabulous and the twists will blow Steffy – and hopefully the audience – away.”
Wood says that her alter-ego has zero regrets when it comes to firing Hope, declaring: “Steffy is glad she’s gone. She’s away from Finn and it’s the right financial answer for the company.”
As an aside, shooting those (to be frank, common) confrontation scenes with costar Noelle is still rewarding — and a whole mess of fun. “It is so much fun working with Annika. I am always happy when Steffy gets to stand up for herself and throw down at Hope. Annika is great. We’ve been doing this for so long, we both get immersed in character and just go for it!”
And when it comes to Steffy’s new normal with Carter, Wood mused: “It’s always a delight to play something different, especially with someone you’ve been working with in the same capacity for so long”
