It was a pleasant surprise to watch Lulu Spencer open her eyes on General Hospital on the day of Sam’s funeral. What shocked us even more, though, is that Lulu is already up and about and not one single person knows she’s come around.
Lulu Spencer: Superwoman
We’re not doctors (nor do we play one on TV) but it does seem to reason a person who was bedridden for four years…and just had a major surgery… may need some physical therapy before getting on their feet. Lulu (Alexa Havins) must have had a super medical team to not have suffered some serious muscle atrophy after all this time.
We also have to wonder why none of Lulu’s machines sounded an alarm when she ripped out of IV and unhooked herself from all her equipment. Was everything merely on silent or was this a well-timed mechanical failure that just happened to occur the exact second Lulu decided to get outta there.
For a show with the word “hospital” in the name, we kind of expected at least a smidge of reality. Yes, yes, it’s a soap but we can’t help but point out the obvious.
General Hospital Knows Best?
The good thing about bypassing any form of recovery for Lulu is she can jump right back into action. She’s up, dressed, and her memories are all intact. And, it may be fun to watch her try to figure out what’s going on around her since she has no idea she missed out on four whole entire years of life.
Plus, getting out of the hospital means avoiding being manipulated by Uncle Cyrus (Jeff Kober). Hopefully, she’ll run into some familiar faces who can warn her to keep her distance from him before it’s too late and he gets his claws into her. (Unless, of course, he’s the one who’s driving the car that she’s currently waving down).
