With its future assured (at least through September 2026), things are looking bright and beautiful for Days of our Lives — and executive producer Ken Corday couldn’t be more thrilled for his baby…but don’t expect the Peacock sudser to coast on its good fortune.
DAYS’ Ken Corday Teases What’s To Come
“The fact that we’re renewed ..is great,” Corady beamed to Soaps.sheknows. “But there’s always something bigger and better out there! I’m excited about what’s coming up in Season 60, but I’m also thinking about Season 65 and beyond.”
As for what fans can expect in the months (and years) to come, Corday teased: “Some very powerful moments are approaching in the summer of next year. We see a lot of familiar characters returning. I can’t tell you the reason why, but it will be momentous, especially as we get to August of 2025 and celebrate our 60th anniversary.
“We’re trying to root the show in much more of an interpersonal reality, with a return to romance and passion more than science fiction.”
And what of the genre as a whole? Mused Corday: “People want their stories. They want it every day as opposed to weekly or ten times a year. That’s what we do, and what we will continue to do!”
