Kennedy Garcia landed in the soap opera history books when she booked her recurring role on Days of our Lives, and now she’s working with Easterseals to dispel the myth that “disability” is a dirty word.

The actress took to her Instagram and shared the nonprofit’s latest video along with the caption, “Matthew [her partner] and I got to take part in this great campaign with [Easterseals] recently! We love any opportunity to bring awareness and show that our lives are worthy!”

Garcia, who has a long list of credits to her resume, made her DAYS debut on May 20th. At the time, the self-confessed Young and the Restless devotee gushed to TVInsider, “I have wanted to be on a soap opera for a long time, so for a role to come up for a teenager with Down syndrome was just amazing!”
