But Gabi has remained conspicuously absent from the proceedings — this the result of actress Camila Banus calling it quits last year. However, a reunion might be on the horizon…even if one of the players looks decidedly different.

Welcome Cherie Jimenez and Al Calderon

“We’re seeing some newcomers in Salem,” trumpeted Peacock on its official Instagram account. The streaming platform went on to introduce Cherie Jimenez and Al Calderon before teasing, “Hmmmm, who could they be?!?!”

Given that the two were photographed on what is clearly the Hernandez casa’s kitchen set, we feel mighty safe in guessing that you’re looking at a recast Gabi and Dario, respectively.

Rumors abounded earlier this year that Jimenez had been tapped to take over the part of Gabi, previously by Gabriela Rodriguez and Banus. If our suspicions about Calderon bear out, he will become the third actor — following Francisco San Martin and Jordi Vilasuso — to play the black sheep of the Hernandez family.
