This week’s Days of our Lives recap for January 29 – February 2, 2024 features long-coming convos, (metaphorical) shots fired, and so much more.

Monday, January 29

Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Roman (Josh Taylor) were thrown to find Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) in the Brady Pub after hours, and even more so when he brought them upstairs and reunited them with Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).

Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien) got to know one another better during a rousing game of Truth or Dare.

A concerned Marlena (Deidre Hall) phoned Steve (Stephen Nichols) and invited him to join a weary John (Drake Hogestyn) in the town square. Steve wondered if his old buddy was beginning to recover previously buried memories, but John denied it.

During a private confab with Stephanie (Abigail Klein), Everett (Blake Berris) confessed that he’s tired of being relegated to the “friend zone.” The two spent the night together, wrapped in each other’s arms. Fully clothed, of course.

Tuesday, January 30

Leo (Greg Rikaart) caught Stephanie (Abigail Klein) exiting Everett’s (Blake Berris) room and makes an unwelcome comment. Everett treated his employee to breakfast and warned him to toe the line.

Ava (Tamara Braun) questioned Wendy’s (Victoria Grace) intentions where Tripp (Lucas Adams) is concerned. Later, Ava went out of her way to tease a lovelorn Stefan (Brandon Barash).

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) prepared a rattled Paulina (Jackée Harry) for her latest ultrasound. All Paulina could do was hope and pray for a good outcome.

Steve (Stephen Nichols) relayed to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) his lingering suspicions that Konstantin (John Kapelos) is up to no good.

Wednesday, January 31st

After a rather bumpy start, Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Paulina got down to the business of planning the former’s wedding. Meanwhile, Johnny (Carson Boatman) asked Chad (Billy Flynn) to be his best man. Chad suggested Johnny ditch Chanel for her own good, or that the young lovers make for Italy where they will be far and away from DiMera influence.

At the same time, Jada (Elia Cantu) and Harris celebrated another successful drug bust. Harris sidestepped Jada’s prying into this personal life.

Xander (Paul Telfer) headed to the DiMera mansion, desperate to speak to EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). When only Stefan proves available, Xander recalled how a mystery caller solicited his murderous services. Stefan insisted that his brother wasn’t the culprit.

Brady (Eric Martsolf) advises Alex to be wary of Theresa’s, “very wicked and wild side.” Keep an eye out for that woman’s bad habits, friend!

Thursday, February 1

Jude’s cries plus visits from Leo, Melinda (Tina Huang), and Marlena put a damper on Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) and Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) plans for a romantic evening for two. Sloan confided in Melinda that she may not be cut out for motherhood.

Alex bristled over Theresa’s continued reliance on Brady. Later, Alex and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) have a terse cross. Maggie went gunning for Alex’s job.

Lucas summoned Chad and Everett and filled them in on Clyde Weston’s (James Read) drug operation. A furious Harris convinced the pair to hold the story by dangling an exclusive about the next drug bust. Chad and Everett made plans to visit Clyde.

Friday, February 2

When Stephanie comes calling — to collect an earbud, or so she says — Everett took the opportunity to once again declare his love for her. Stephanie admitted that the whole “just being friends thing” isn’t working for her either. The two make love.

Sarah, Xander, Maggie, and Konstantin suffered through a most awkward group dinner which ended with Konstantin storming out in a huff. Across town, Theresa was horrified to learn that Brady told Marlena about her relapse. The exes then reflected on their failed romance.

A drunk Stefan crashed Ava’s night-in. Several glasses of wine and a few shots of tequila later, the two engaged in a passionate clinch. Meanwhile, Konstantin arranges a late-night rendezvous with John.
