This situation between Heather Webber and Portia Robinson has nearly the entire General Hospital fandom picking sides…and a whole lot of you are siding with a killer. Do we also love a baddie? Yes! We can’t help but side with Portia on this one, though.
Justice for Portia Robinson!
We agree Portia (Brook Kerr) was wrong when she went into the hospital system and chanced Heather’s (Alley Mills) test results. We get it, it was bad. Terrible! Deceitful! However, Portia’s reasoning is not something we can simply look past. She was trying to keep a monster behind bars. A monster who targeted her family.
Can we blame Portia for doing all she can to protect Trina (Tabyana Ali)? Heather slaughtered five people in a frenzy trying to get to Trina. Of course, Portia went out of her mind with worry. Any mother would!
Heather may deserve a second chance with society, but Portia doesn’t owe her any pity. She’s well in her rights to be angry, scared, and go a wee little bit overboard to keep Heather from getting her claws into Trina.

Oh sure, Heather claims that wasn’t *really* her. She didn’t mean to kill people. She didn’t mean to target Trina and terrorize the family. She wasn’t in her right mind. It was the cobalt poisoning we tell you! Intent doesn’t equal impact, though, and Portia’s entire family (and so many others) suffered the last time Heather was free.
A General Hospital Style Twist?
Now that Heather is getting out of the slammer what is Portia going to do? Will she grab Trina and run out of town? No, probably not. Is avoiding Heather altogether an option? That may work, but eventually, they’ll have to interact. Port Charles isn’t exactly a huge city. This leaves two options: forgiveness or revenge….and Portia isn’t exactly the forgiving type.
Will she go after Heather and work to take her out before she has a chance to go after anyone else again? Portia usually one to turn to the dark side, but when push comes to shove, we can see this Mama Bear doing whatever needs to be done.
