Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is not a paragon of virtue, as ex-wife Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) went to great pains to point out. But unlike a certain lady lawyer, Ric isn’t the least bit unaware of his past transgressions.
What’s more, he’s certainly grown leaps and bounds since his last few onscreen stretches, because the Ric of old would have gleefully reminded Alexis of her own just as lengthy rap sheet (and not just her failures as a mother, because counsel did note that for the record) rather than stand and receive all that sound and fury.
Who Is Alexis Davis To Judge?
In between her rants about Ric’s courtroom theatrics and his all-around G-d awfulness, Alexis declared him “morally corrupt,” “indecent,” and an “unforgivable human being.” Oh yea, and he’s a horrible father and a (one-time) pregnant woman-napper.
And it was somewhere in there that the blatant hypocrisy lept up and slapped this viewer about the chops.
Ric might have a body or two on his conscience, but at this point, Alexis has murked Luis Alcazar and Kiefer Bauer, and you can add to her list of crimes the planning of cold-blooded murder, covering up cold-blooded murder, faking DID, assorted assaults and batteries, drinking and driving, and B&E.
And not for nothing, but Ric really hit the nail on the head when we bellowed that she was blind to that fact that she “consistently favors Kristina over Molly.” Say what you will about Ric, but (according to what the writers at General Hospital told us, rather than, you know, showed us) he’s been in touch with Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and standing up for her and TJ (Tajh Bellow) since he blew back into Port Charles; which can’t be said for Alexis.
