Friday, September 27th marked Kelly Monaco’s final day at General Hospital. She filmed her final scenes as Sam McCall, just a few days shy of her anniversary.
Farewell, Kelly Monaco
Kelly Monaco’s mother, Carmina Monaco, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a heartfelt message to her daughter’s fans. She thanked them for their love, support, and affection.
“I want to take this moment to reach out to Kelly’s incredible fans and express my deepest gratitude for the unwavering love, loyalty, and support you’ve shown her throughout her time on General Hospital. On this final day, just four days shy of the anniversary of her first episode on October 1, 2003, Kelly will close the door of her dressing room for the last time.

Hundred (if not thousands) of the actress’s fans have worked around the clock trying to reverse the show’s decision to let the actress go. From online rallies, #IStandWithKelly trends, petitions, and billboards, they’ve made their voices heard. The show is standing by their choices, though, and Monaco left the set on Friday for the final time.
Make sure to stock up on tissues and prepare for heartbreak in the coming weeks. Monaco’s final scenes will air later this fall.
