Ever since his announcement that he’s retiring from the role that netted him a Daytime Emmy Award (in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category) , Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) has been inundated with messages of support and well-wishes from friends, fans, and his General Hospital family.
Everybody Loves Chad Duell
Play mama Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) wrote: “Still mad !! But I adore you !!!” His onscreen missus, Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Tait Corinthos), kept her offering short and sweet: “Love you, Chad!!!!” a sentiment echoed by Eden McCoy (Josslyn Jacks) who penned: “I love you.”
Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Faloneri) good-naturedly ribbed his “brother”: “Who wrote this for you…..Just kidding. I love you Cheddar.”
The parent-managed Instagram account for Theo and Erik Olson, the twins who portrayed Wiley Corinthos for many years, beamed: “Oh man- you will be SO missed by everyone! Can’t wait to see what your future holds!” while Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Filmore) insisted that: “You will be so missed!!!! Excited to see what’s next!”
Cameron Mathison, whose alter-ego bedded Michael’s wife and got battered about the face for his troubles (never, ever mess with Jason’s boy!) said: Love you brother.
Added Luna Garcia, Duell’s real-life partner, and mother of his son, Dawson: “Little D and I are always by your side, supporting you through every decision.”
As reported on Sunday, there are currently no plans to recast once Duell has wrapped his run. Frank Valentini, the sudser’s EP promised “a great story for Michael and his family when Chad exits in the new year.”
