The play is indeed the thing! Chad Duell (ex-Michael Corinthos) is following up his decade-plus run at General Hospital with a new “two-hander” that’s bound for New York come the fall.
Chad Duell’s Exciting New Role
The news came earlier today (Tuesday, March 4) courtesy of Stoneypoint Entertainment’s official Instagram account, which enthused: “[Chad Duell] and [Zach Mendez] will star in the world premiere of “YUM YUM AT ANNAPOLIS”, a new play by [Bruce Reisman].
“Rehearsals begin with table read next week, then the public, full-tech and costumed, invited audience concert reading in April in Los Angeles at the legendary [El Portal Theatre] in NoHo. It’s the start of a journey to New York, where an Off-Off Broadway run is planned for late fall.”
Inspired by real-life events, Yum Yum At Annapolis concerns the budding friendship between American playwright Eugene O’Neill (Mendez) and a young sailor (Duell) whom he hires to rebuild his front porch on which he penned Long Day’s Journey Into Night.
The announcement continued: “These two stage-trained pros will share the stage, alone, for 90 minutes (no intermission). It will be “Acting Olympics” for these guys.”
Daily Drama extends our sincere congratulations to Chad Duell and the entire Yum Yum At Annapolis company and wishes them nothing but the utmost success.
