Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s star is on the rise — look no further than his recent signage to CAA — but that doesn’t mean the actor is completely ruling out a return to General Hospital.
Nicholas Alexander Chavez On Old Stomping Grounds
When last Chavez appeared on GH, his alter-ego tumbled into the drink alongside his psychotic ex, Esme Prince. It was assumed at the time that as soon as Chavez wrapped his run as Lyle Menéndez in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story he’d return to the ABC sudser — but you know what they say about assumptions!

Instead, Chavez readily accepted the auteur’s offer to appear in his next endeavor, horror series Grotesquerie. “It was an opportunity to play in a world that was very, very different from the Menendez brothers so I was really excited to jump on board,” explained the actor to TVLine.
When the outlet broached a potential return to daytime, Chavez hedged: “Port Charles is a crazy place. We’ll have to see what happens.”
But should GH feel the need to recast, Chavez would harbor no ill will. “Of course. I understand that the show has needs,” he mused, “and I would be fully supportive of that.”
