Jacqueline Grace Lopez (Allison “Blaze” Rogers) was recently added to General Hospital‘s opening credits, a milestone moment for the actress who admitted on Instagram that, “Only older, do I truly see and feel how [representation matters].”
Jacqueline Grace Lopez Reflects
Jacqueline Grace Lopez watched her headshot appear on the screen alongside some mighty proud fans of hers and recorded the moment for posterity.
In a text overlay, she wrote in part: “Growing up in the 90s, I was this little Filipino Latina with big buck teeth and glasses since the third grade…I never really saw myself represented in anything. And now older, I really see how that contributed to my feeling invisible.
“So, to get this moment, to realize that there might be some kid home from school or someone who sees someone that looks like them…I know that would have helped me, and that means everything.”

A plethora of fans took the comments section of Lopez’s post with congratulations, well wishes, and thanks, including anschnee who wrote: “You and your character brought me back to GH. Thank you for your part and for [your] representation. It really does matter!”
