General Hospital fans were stunned last month when news came that Kelly Monaco would be exiting the scene. Even more so when she was temporarily recast right after the news broke. And, once again, when the soap world collectively learned she taped her final episode last Friday. Now, it seems the actress has made a statement…and it’s one we did not expect.
Kelly Monaco’s Deleted Comment
The drama went down over on Instagram when she replied to a soap fan on a post by Soap Hub. This all came from a comment that Monaco refused to take a pay cut to keep her job – which was false, despite being reported by Soap Opera Network a while ago. Kelly took issue with that and finally spoke out.
“No primary role”…do your homework. When Billy Miller was fired, Sam’s storyline stopped. Stripping Sam of every characteristic Something I worked for decades to build….Slowly dismantling her, into a character I did not recognize, let alone the audience. Call it what you will… retaliation at it[’s] finest. The truth will set you free.”
