Kimberly McCullough took a step back from being in front of the camera a few years ago, but the General Hospital star is still very much involved behind it. Over the past ten years, she’s directed multiple episodes of varied TV shows, and now, she’s trying her hand at film!

McCullough is taking her spot in the director’s chair for the feature Wayward Girls! She took to Instagram to share the news after Deadline broke the story. “Wayward Girls! Excited about this one 😎” she wrote.

According to the article, the movie is a coming-of-age dramedy, written by scribe Kristin Belka Maier. She is known for her work in the writer’s room of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Kristen also took to Instagram to share the news: “writing about your life is a 🎢 thrilled to see this in print and to be doing it with these lovely and talented people. (4:44 👀✨)”
