Double the Nicholas Alexander Chavez, double your pleasure, and double your fun — if only what was on offer weren’t so horrifying.
Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s Other September Show
Come September, fans of the General Hospital alum will have two opportunities to watch the actor strut his stuff (and sharpen those pretty well-honed skills).
As previously reported, Chavez will star in Ryan Murphy’s religion-tinged horror series Grotesquerie, set to premiere on September 25 on FX (streaming next day on Hulu).
Now comes word that Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendéz Story, in which Chavez plays Lyle opposite Cooper Koch’s Erik, will drop on Netflix on September 19th.
In Grotesquerie: “A series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community. Detective Lois Tryon (Niecy Nash-Betts) feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her. At home, Lois grapples with a strained relationship with her daughter, a husband in long-term hospital care and her own inner demons.
“With no leads and unsure of where to turn, she accepts the help of Sister Megan (Micaela Diamond), a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian. Sister Megan, with her own difficult past, has seen the worst of humanity, yet she still believes in its capacity for good. Lois, on the other hand, fears the world is succumbing to evil.
“As Lois and Sister Megan string together clues, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.”
Meanwhile, Monsters tells the story of two brothers who killed their parents on Aug. 20, 1989, and the events surrounding the brutal slayings. (Both were convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.)
Chavez promoted the latter on X in a post that read in part: “I’m over the moon.” He also included a harrowing teaser trailer which you can watch above or via the aforementioned post below.
