Ric isn’t everyone’s cup of tea on General Hospital, all things considered, but, love him or hate him, he’s back! And, much to his credit, he’s trying to right at least a few of his wrongs…especially with Elizabeth. Rick Hearst has a lot of thoughts on how he’s like that part of his character’s story to play out.
Rick Hearst Loves Ric & Liz!
Ric isn’t wasting any time getting close to Liz (Rebecca Herbst) again. She seems to one of the few people in town not holding onto a grudge and invited him in. “Elizabeth has always been that one person who, for the most part, he never wanted to be that collateral damage,” Hearst told Soaps In Depth. “She’s the one that got away.”

Does this mean we could see a rekindled romance in their future? Hearst seems to think that’s a very real possibility. “The feelings stay there; the genuine nature of who the two of them were at the beginning of their relationship has never left,” Rick teases. “The more that you see them, the more he actually interacts with Elizabeth and makes advances and movements towards her while he’s in town, the more he’s going to understand that this is a different time — but he ain’t giving up!”
Is Liz ready for something serious after having Finn (Michael Easton) break her heart so recently? He left in July to go to rehab and Elizabeth had to pick up the pieces and try to move on. Is Ric here at the perfect time to sweep her off her feet? That would definitely be something to see!
