Talk about a blast from the past (which, ironically, his alter-ego can’t recall thanks to traumatic brain injury-induced amnesia)! Upon his exit from the Prospect Park Studio, who should Steve Burton (Steve Burton, General Hospital) spy but former leading Cari Shayne (ex-Karen Wexler)?!
Steve Burton And Cari Shayne Reunited – And It Feels So Good
Shayne, a real-life high-risk Obstetrical Nurse who’s never completely abandoned her love of acting, looked like she’d be right at home at GH dressed as she was in scrubs, though we suspect she was reporting to work at another long-running medical drama that also shoots at PPS.
The reunion between the onscreen couple almost didn’t happen — but Shayne eventually bit the bullet, mosied over to Burton, and inquired, “Hey, remember me?” He did, natch!
Bear hugs were exchanged, and introductions were made between Shayne and Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli) who was also retiring from a day on stage.
It was a long time in coming as far as Anderson was concerned. After all, he’d written many a parody song about her and Steve hooking up for their two-man roadshow!
