This week’s General Hospital recap for April 1 – 5, 2024, featured a most welcome homecoming, complications threatening to undo an upcoming wedding day, a stage mother prying, and so much more.
Monday, April 1
Jason (Steve Burton) paid Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst)and Jake (Hudson West) a visit and did his best to make amends to the latter. Jake showed him the door. Elizabeth assured Jake that Jason would continue to reach out and prove himself.
Anna (Finola Hughes) worked to ensure Dex’s (Evan Hofer) candidacy for the police academy…. Sonny (Maurice Benard) fussed over Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Dante reiterated to his father that he’s alive owning to Jason’s actions. Sonny relays that Jason turned informant for the FBI. Dante pressed the issue with Jason who wasn’t forthcoming. Anna put Sonny on blast and on notice.
Natalia (Eva LaRue) insinuated herself into Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) contract negations with Deception and made sure that her daughter’s private life (AKA her same-sex relationship) would remain so.
Tuesday, April 2
Stella (Vernee Watson) caught Curtis (Donnell Turner) standing and urged him to fill Portia (BrooK Kerr) in on his progress. Upon his wife’s return, Curtis did just that…. Dex sat for an interview with Detective Bennet. Bennet expressed concern about Dex’s affiliation with the Corinthos organization but Dex seemed to win him round.
John (Adam J. Harrington) insisted that Jason serve as bait to draw out Pikeman or else he’d follow through on charging Carly (Laura Wright) with RICCO violations and conspiracy. John questioned Anna’s integrity given her ties to the WSB (and their ties to Pikeman).
Nina (Cynthia Warts) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) debated how to best move forward. She suggested revenging themselves, he preached getting revenge by living well. Both agreed that perhaps they could work together after all…. Carly basked in her family’s love and togetherness.
Wednesday, April 3
Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) continued to encourage Nina to reach out to Sonny. Maxie (Kirsten Storms), meanwhile, preached caution. Nina learned that Kristina was acting as TJ (Tajh Bellow) and Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) surrogate and that Blaze had replaced Sasha as the Face of Deception — which also came as news to Kristina.
Dante accepted Chase’s (Josh Swickard) invitation to be his groomsman. Kristina expressed concerns over Sonny and Ava’s (Maura West) living situation to Dante…. Elizabeth griped to Finn (Michael Easton) about the “complete train wreck” that was Jason’s visit. Both bemoaned their feelings of uselessness, reflected on relationships past, and agreed that they’d found the perfect mate in each other.
Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) doctor told him it’s a “safe bet” that he’ll still be walking and speaking under his own steam by Brook Lynn (Amanda Sutton) and Chase’s wedding. Gregory ensured that his medical information stayed private…. Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Stella grow closer…. Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Cody (Josh Kelly) debate their futures.
Thursday, April 4
Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura (Genie Francis) both visit Heather (Alley Mills) and noticed a perceptible change in her. Portia (Brook Kerr) took exception to the very notion…. Curtis received a hero’s welcome when he walked into Bobbie’s unaided. Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Curtis discussed love, loss, and what his time spent in a wheelchair taught him.
Terry (Cassandra James) gave Tracy a clean bill of general health but expressed concern for her mental well-being. Tracy decided to get back into the saddle — literally — with Cody’s assistance…. Sasha stepped in and up for Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and was impressed with her culinary skills.
Blaze apologized for not giving Kristina a heads-up about her new job and relayed that Natalia wants to ensure that her private life stays private…. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) served Dex at Bobbie’s and the exes learned that each was at a crossroads: she was debating whether medical school if for her, he was considering a job at the PCPD.
Friday, April 5
Anna visited Brennan (Charles Mesure) and confronted him about laying the groundwork for Pikeman, for his attempts to have her killed, and demanded that he reveal who’s heading the organization in his absence. Brennan demurred…. Lois (Rena Sofer) stepped up for Brook Lynn who suffered a “wedding dress crisis.”
Josslyn and Kristina traded barbs over Sonny whom the former dubbed “a vicious thug and murderer.” Josslyn worried to Carly that Dex’s appointment to the PCPD would prove a death sentence…. Sonny and Natalia grew closer. Natalia failed to make a good impression on Lois. Brook Lynn warned Natalia against denying Blaze her truth…. Sam bemoaned her new normal where Danny and Jason were concerned.
