Cut to Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) issuing a warning to Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), namely, “That vampire had better be gone by the time I come back down.”
Meanwhile, the vampire (vampiress?) in question skulks into Xander’s (Paul Telfer) office and drops a (figurative) bombshell: “Victor did not write the letter that Philip found.”

Finally, JJ (Casey Moss) puts it to Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) that she’s EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) would be assassin — after all, she had a motive, means, and opportunity, not to mention the gaping hole where her alibi should be — and Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) seeming acceptance of defeat sets Marlena (Deidre Hall) on edge.
