Jordi Vilasuso, no stranger to the rigors of daytime drama nor to superseding another actor in a role, will soon be joining a bevy of soap stars who call The Bay a home away from home.
Jordi Vilasuso Joins The Bay
The Guiding Light, All My Children, Days of our Lives, and The Young and the Restless alum will make his debut on the Daytime Emmy Award-nominated sudser as a series regular, taking over the part of Justin Ramos, previously played by David Lago (ex-Raul Guittierez, Y&R) and last seen during season five.
“I have known about The Bay for years and have met Gregori [J Martin, creator/executive producer] throughout my career. When he asked me to join the show as [the new] Justin Ramos, I was thrilled. Having the chance to work with A Martinez again and the rest of the incredible cast is exciting,” enthused Vilasuso to Soap Hub who broke the story.
Added Martin: “I have known Jordi for a while and have always loved his work. I am grateful to have him join the show as Justin.”
The Bay is nominated for five Daytime Emmys this year, including Outstanding Drama Series.
The awards ceremony will be telecast on Friday, June 7 at 8 PM EDT/Delayed PT on CBS (with a concurrent live stream and the ability to watch on-demand on Paramount+).
