It’s been years and years (since 2017 to be exact) since Dylan McAvoy was whisked away to witness protection on The Young and the Restless, leaving Sharon a mess of tears. He loved her like no other and their relationship is still one for the record books. If there was ever a time for Dylan to make his way back to her…it would be now!

Yes, yes, we know Steve Burton is currently back at General Hospital rocking the role of Jason Morgan. And, we love him there. We really, really do! We’re not saying Steve needs to return. We’re saying DYLAN needs to come back, even if he’s not played by the same actor (but, we are open to watching Burton play double duty).

We can also hear the shouts of dismay that Sharon just killed Dylan’s very own sister in cold blood. Okay, sure, they never really got to know each other well, but they’re still connected by Paul (Doug Davidson) and it would make great drama – which is why we’re all here. We want action!

Sharon’s Most Restless Scandal Yet!

So, hear us out. Dylan comes home to help his dad solve his sister’s murder. There’s nothing better than a father/son caper! There’s no way Dylan would ever suspect sweet Sharon would do something so devious. She’s too nice and lovely for that. He WILL notice, though, that she’s struggling with her mental health. He’s been there before and he knows what it’s like.

He could be just the right guy to pull her through her darkness and to the other side. And, he may be the only man who will get her to confess. They’ll get closer than ever and fall deeply and madly in love as Sharon heals. But, like all good things, the sunshine and roses will not last. The truth will eventually come out and when it does, things will go downhill fast.

Dylan will have to reconcile his love for Sharon and knowing she was in a dark place against watching his dad mourn the sister he never really got a chance to know. Will he stand by his woman? Will he at least help ease her punishment? Or, will he shock everyone and make sure she pays the highest possible price for stealing his sister’s life?
