The Mustache wanted a war and he’s definitely getting one on The Young and the Restless. Victor Newman has Kyle in his camp and is flirting with the idea of adding Diane, too. She claims she’s done with Jack and wants to destroy him, which is obviously music to Victor’s ears…but we have a feeling there’s more at play than meets the eye.

Is Victor Newman Being Played?

It does seem rather convenient that mere weeks after finding out Kyle (Michael Mealor) is now firmly in Camp Newman his parents would start bickering and battling it out. They went from being a united front to breaking up? In such a short amount of time? And, all their fights were in places where others would see or hear them? Yes, rather convenient, indeed.

Could it be that this is all for show? A smoke screen to make it seem like the happy couple aren’t happy at all? They have everyone absolutely convinced that they are over, donezo, and never ever ever getting back together. Sure. We definitely believe them…not.

The way we see it, this is all a game that Diane and Jack probably cooked up while cuddling in bed. They decided to stage the blow-up, convince Kyle and Victor they are mortal enemies, and get Diane into the Newman fold so she can collapse it all from the inside and push their son back to Jabot where he belongs!

The Ultimate Con

Just imagine if Victor takes the bait and decides to take a chance on Diane. If she’s working on the sly with her husband, she could very well ruin the Newman dynasty. She’d have access to the company records, insider info on The Mustache’s bid for Chancellor, and the inner workings of the operation. She could slowly but surely dismantle it all and bring Victor to his knees. Well, unless Victor already has the upper hand.

We can’t see someone like Victor falling for these shenanigans. What if he already smells a rat and is playing along for the sake of pure entertainment? This could get very interesting if this is all a game and Jack and Diane are playing checkers while The Great Victor Newman is playing chess.
