It turns out that fans of The Young and the Restless aren’t the only ones side-eyeing the soap’s insistent emphasis on corporate wars. Bryton James is, too. He shared his thoughts during a recent interview.

As Bryton James laughs to Soaps.sheknows, “You have no idea how often, when we’re running lines, I stop and jokingly say, ‘You know, I have a gazillion dollars. In real life, none of these problems would matter to me. Go run the company however you want!'”
The actor went on to confide in the outlet that he’d “love to play something where Devon does something truly evil, something that’s very out of character for him.
“As an actor, you’re always looking to play something new, interesting, and different. And certainly, Devon has been, for the most part, the good, stable guy. You wouldn’t expect him to do something awful.”
Just don’t expect him to take on the guise of a dubious look-a-like. “I know a lot of actors like the idea of playing a twin or a doppelgänger, but we’ve had plenty!”
