J. Eddie Peck made his return to The Young and the Restless late last year for a story arch like no other. Cole, Victoria, and the Newmans faced death at the hands of Aunt Jordan and soon discovered the reason why. She was out to kill her great niece’s prominent kin.

A Love Connection?

That led to Cole and Victoria not only reuniting with their long-thought-dead daughter, Nicole — now Claire (Hayley Erin), but they’ve also grown closer. Their new bond has fans wondering if something more will come for the couple. A bit of romance, perhaps?

Peck sat down with Soap Opera Digest to talk about Cole and Victoria’s connection and how his character feels about a future coupling. “Cole has such respect for Victoria and he doesn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable in any way.” he told the magazine. “Obviously, Cole sees this wonderful nurturing quality that Victoria has and then you add this commonality between them of having this child together and who knows what could happen?”

Additionally, Peck explained Cole would be more than happy to be the man in Victoria’s life again, one day. “For now, Cole won’t overstep that boundary. He is not going to offend Victoria in any way, but if she gives him that look in her eye,” the actor winks, “he is going to be all over it!”

While we don’t know much about Cole’s past since he left Genoa City, we do know he’s single. As is Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Her character has stepped out with some of the best and hottest, but all those relationships have been for naught. Maybe rewinding to a better time with Cole would be the answer to a forever love story.
