The Young and the Restless fans won’t have to miss Mishael Morgan as Amanda Sinclair much longer as the actress is heading back to the soap. The question is — for how long?
Mishael Morgan Makes Her Y&R Comeback
Morgan took to Instagram on the night of January 24 to post a quick video of her return showing her waving at the camera and her name on a wardrobe tag. She captioned it with: “Guess who’s popping in for a visit!!! #YR @youngandrestlesscbs.”
That indicates that her return is not long-term but it doesn’t mean it’s just one episode either. She could be returning for a few days or for a more extended story arc. The last time we saw Amanda in GC was in March of 2023 when she was in town for the GC anniversary party that coincided with Y&R 50th year on the air.
A Beloved Genoa City Player
Morgan made her Y&R debut back in 2013 as Hilary Curtis, who married both Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) and his son Devon Hamilton (not at the same time, of course). At the time of Hilary’s death, she had reunited with Devon (Bryton James) and expecting his child. However, during a fight with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) while Lily was driving, Lily lost control of the car and Hilary was so badly injured that she died just after remarrying Devon on her death bed.
A year later in 2019, Morgan returned to the soap as Amanda, who eventually turned out to be Hilary’s long-lost twin. She also started a romance with Devon, but he cheated on her in late 2022 with Abby Newman and left town. When she returns, will she be in a story with Devon or be given something else to play?
