Eric Braeden (Victor Newman, The Young and the Restless), who has been keeping his fans apprised following the loss of his home of 45 years to the devastating California wildfires, shared on social media that his onscreen daughter, Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman), has suffered the same tragedy.

In an exchange with a fan on Bluesky (Braeden’s platform of choice after abandoning X) who asked after Heinle, the actor revealed that “she lost her home as well! The extent of this disaster is unimaginable!”

The raging infernos have thus far claimed 24 lives (a further 16 persons have been reported missing) and destroyed or damaged more than 12,300 structures. Braeden, Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan, The Bold and the Beautiful), and Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, General Hospital) have all lost their homes to the blaze. In addition, Melissa Claire Egan’s (Chelsea Lawson, Y&R) lost her recently purchased though uninhabited abode.
