On June 21st, Joshua Morrow will celebrate 30 years since his debut on The Young and the Restless, and the CBS sudser has big plans for the milestone event — namely, a special, nostalgia-tinged episode chock full of clips from days gone by.
Joshua Morrow Reflects On 30 Years At Y&R
“I feel like I just had my 20th,” the awed actor confided to TVGuide’s Stephanie Sloane. “I blinked and a decade went by.”
On the plans to mark his anniversary: “Just the fact that they would be willing to do something like that made me feel very proud. It hits you what an incredible ride this has been. I feel like I’m not worth it, like I’m going to wake up and this has all been a dream.”
On his onscreen parents, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Reed Newman): “Could you imagine a better situation? It’s almost unfair. They’re literally icons. They’re like family to me and I love and respect them so much. I really did fall into the best situation imaginable for a young actor.”
Finally, in summing up his remarkable feat, Joshua Morrow marveled: “If you would have told me when I was a sophomore in high school in Oklahoma just playing football, ‘You will have a 30-year career on a television show,’ I would have thought you were joking…Beyond blessed doesn’t even begin to cover it. I owe my life to this show…I really feel like I was made to play Nick Newman…”
