The infighting at Jabot reaches a fever pitch that results in Kyle (Michael Mealor, The Young and the Restless) getting shown the door by his frustrated momma and peace-seeking pops. So what’s the disgraced former COO to do? “I think he’s going to play dirty,” proffers the actor to Soap Opera Digest. “He wants to prove that he can make it on his own, so he’s moving on.”
Michael Mealor On Future Story
Luckily for Kyle, he has a champion in Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) who’s itching to install him at Glissade alongside Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) — but there’s the little matter of his firing.
“Kyle wants Victor to know that Kyle is still wanted, not that he’s been discarded,” relays Michael Mealor, which certainly clarifies his decision to claim he walked away from the family company. “He wants Victor to think that he’s getting something that is of value still.”
Still, it remains to be seen whether or not Kyle will actually throw his lot in with The Mustache AKA his father’s arch-rival. Says Mealor: “I think [Kyle’s] feeling energized about this. He seems affirmed in his decisions and his choices that he’s ready to take the world by force.”
