With the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards fast approaching, a crop of players from The Bold and the Beautiful — some of them nominees themselves — took to social media to extol the virtues of costars up for the gold.

The Instagram video kicks off with Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester) hilariously suggesting that John McCook (Eric Forrester), his fellow competitor for the Lead Actor statuette, “Do the right thing,” and call the Academy and tell them that he doesn’t want the award and to give it to somebody else that works with him (hint, hint!). After all, the veteran actor already has one Daytime Emmy — “Even though you should have five.” — and an amazing family who’s always rooting for him, and a whole studio of people adore him.

Subsequent, effusive round-robin praise came from the likes of Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) who had nothing but kudos for leading lady Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), Annika Noelle — who threw her all behind Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) — and Tanner Novlan (Finn Finnegan) who bigged up hopeful Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester).
