The Bold and the Beautiful recap for the week of May 20th looks back on Hope getting much-too close to Steffy’s husband, Sheila and Deacon walking down the aisle, and Finn accidentally attending the wedding.
Monday, May 20th
The week kicked off with Liam (Scott Clifton) doing what he does best — complaining about any man who is in the vicinity of his exes. This time, of course, he griped about Finn (Tanner Novlan) to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). And, as usual, Steffy defended her man. Her husband has chosen her and the kids and that’s that. Steffy did admit she didn’t love Hope (Annika Noelle) being so close to her beau, though.
As for Finn and Hope, they huddled at his office talking about their parent’s upcoming wedding. Hope wasn’t sure if she should go. Finn was adamant he was not. Even if he wanted to, he wouldn’t hurt Steffy like that. Finn does believe Sheila has changed but he also understands Steffy’s side. Just look at what his mother has put her through.
Hope turned the conversation back to herself and complained about headaches. Finn, being a good doctor, jumped up to help. She looked a little too cozy as he tussled her hair, and gave her a mini massage, and told her she was too good for the men she’s used to dating.
Meanwhile, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and Deacon (Sean Kanan) dreamed about a wedding with their kids by their side. They were even cautiously optimistic it would all work out in their favor.
Tuesday, May 21st
Steffy interrupted Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) getting frisky in the office and instead of being embarrassed, she took it as an opportunity to jump on Brooke about Hope. Steffy demanded Brooke set her daughter straight at once about Sheila…and about staying away from Finn! Brooke was flabbergasted. She and Ridge were even more shocked to hear about the SheCon engagement, however. How dumb can Deacon be?!
As for Hope, she was still with Finn and her headache was back…err, it never left. Finn offered up a deep massage, which Hope was more than happy to receive. His hands were all over her shoulders and head once again as he got her to open up about all the stresses in her life. Thankfully, it didn’t go further and Finn remembered he had a wife.
Over at Il Giardino, Deacon and Sheila prepped for their big day. Sheila was a bit choked up to hear Finn had yet to respond to their invite. There was a glimmer of hope when Finn later showed up at the restaurant to show his support…but also to tell them he wasn’t going to attend the wedding. Sheila begged and pleaded but Finn had yet to agree.
Wednesday, May 22nd
Finn went down to the restaurant and was bombarded by his mother’s begging and pleading. Sheila was desperate for him to attend her and Deacon’s wedding. Sadly, she would not get her wish. Finn politely declined. He was standing by his wife.
As for Steffy, she was at the office having it out with Hope. And, not just her, but Ridge and Brooke were all over Hope, too. They did not like her defense of Sheila and implored her to steer clear of both Sheila and Deacon. No can do, though. Hope was a big girl who could make up her own mind.
Later, Steffy and Finn met up at home. He told her about Sheila’s request and assured her that he wasn’t hopping on the Sheila-love bandwagon. He understood where she was coming from and vowed to stay away from his birth mom’s big day.
Thursday, May 23rd
Deacon shared a moment with his bride-to-be while she was getting ready. Neither cared if it was bad luck or not since they always bounce back. Sheila wished Finn would show up but Deacon gently told her to not get her hopes up.
Deacon then went down to the restaurant to greet Tom (Clint Howard) and thank him for not only coming but for helping him save Sheila. What a great guy! He was beyond thrilled when Hope (Annika Noelle) showed up.
Over at the Cliff House, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) were ready for a night in with all the kids. Liam (Scott Clifton) came by to drop off Beth, which should have been their only interaction but he couldn’t help sticking his nose in their business and griping about SheCon.
Finn left to go grab the pizzas, which of course, were made at Il Giardino. And, of course, he got there just as the ceremony was starting and got a glimpse of his mother walking down the aisle. She saw him, too, and nearly cried over his presence. Deep down, she just knew he’d come through for her!
Friday, May 24th
Sheila clung to Finn like he was a life raft and begged him to stay. He eventually agreed when Deacon suggested he at least stick around until his pizzas were ready. So, he stood at the altar and even found himself participating in the festivities. Oops.
Back at home, Steffy was grateful to know her husband wasn’t attending the ceremony. Liam was happy, too. At least Finn was standing by his wife. Where was he, anyway? How long did picking up pizzas take?
The Forrester mansion was buzzing over the wedding news. Ridge and Eric griped about Hope attending but Brooke stood up for her daughter. Hope was only there to support her dad, which she has a right to do. Sadly, they just have to deal with her bad decision.
