Clint Howard Spills The Tea On His Bold and Beautiful Guest Stint

As previously reported, Clint Howard, prolific thespian and baby brother to the famed Ron Howard, has been tapped to guest star on two episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful, scheduled to air on Friday, April 26, and Monday, April 29. Now, Howard is detailing his stint to People.

“You’re handed a lot of scenes to do and you’d better be prepared,” he relayed to the outlet. “I was taught by both my mom and dad, Rance and Jean Howard, since I was a little kid that my primary responsibility is to be prepared to show up to work, even as a very young child…And then knowing that soap operas, it’s possible to get handed boatloads of dialogue, and you’ve got to learn it. You’ve got to understand it. You got to be able to deliver it. You got to be light on your feet.”

Despite the accelerated production pace, Howard, who’ll appear in scenes opposite Tanner Novlan’s Finn and Sean Kanan’s Deacon, found the shoot “exhilarating.”

B&B isn’t Howard’s first exposure to the inner workings of a daytime soap — he previously toiled on three episodes of NBC’s much lamented Santa Barbara. Of his previous stint he recalls: “That was a freedom. That was another lifetime ago.  didn’t have as much to do on Santa Barbara as I did on Bold and The Beautiful, and I haven’t gone back and looked at it. I don’t even know if I could.”
