Friday’s edition of The Bold and the Beautiful ended with a shocking revelation. Deacon said goodbye to his lady love because he doesn’t want to risk losing everything. However, he’s shown he’s back to his bad boy roots with a secret partnership. Here’s a recap of the Sept. 22, 2023 episode.
Thomas Tells Hope She’s The Only One
At Thomas’ house, he and Hope marvel at Douglas’ dinner for them. He says he loves his parents and wants them to be happy. Douglas serves the couple their dinner, which consists of pizza and French fries. The youngster knows they’re used to fancier food, but this is all he could get delivered on short notice. Thomas and Hope tell him the food is delicious and thank him for the treat. Douglas says Aunt Donna is coming by to take him home so Thomas and Hope can have some alone time. He says it’s great to see them smiling and laughing. He knows they’re in love and is confident they’ll be a family.
Once they’re alone, Thomas and Hope discuss Douglas’ surprise dinner. Hope gets a text from Douglas who says milk and cookies are in the fridge. Thomas chuckles that his son thought of everything. The couple’s conversation switches to their relationship. Thomas promises Hope he didn’t put Douglas up to this. Thomas then tells Hope that he loves her and wants to be with her. He says he knows she’s not for that type of commitment, but he’ll be there whenever she’s ready. He brings up his past mistakes, but says he’s changed into a better man, a man who loves only her. He says he knows her breakup with Liam was tough and she misses their family, but that’s not the only family she has. Hope says he feels good to be with a man who loves her and only her. She asks Thomas to tell her she’s the only one. He does as she wishes and they passionately kiss.
Li Expresses Her Outrage Over Sheila
At the cliff house, Li and Finn continue discussing Sheila. He promises he’ll do what it takes to remove Sheila, but wants to tell Li something. He says Li is his true mother, the woman who made him into the man he is today. He thanks her and apologizes for hurting her by calling Sheila mom.
The conversation switches to Jack and Li talks about his affair with Sheila. She was crushed by his betrayal, and wondered what other secrets he kept. She was upset when Jack said Li should be grateful to Sheila for giving them Finn. Li blames Jack for bringing Sheila into their lives. Finn reminds Li she’s a strong woman. He says he doesn’t know how Sheila is free, but he’ll make sure get her out of their lives.
Deacon’s Been A Bad Boy
At Deacon’s apartment, he and Sheila agree it’s time to go their separate ways. Sheila hates to end things, but she understands Deacon wants a relationship with his daughter. She feels the same way about Finn and is determined to be in his life. Deacon reminds her that might not be possible because of Steffy, but she says never to underestimate the bond between a mother and son. Sheila packs her bags just as Deacon receives a text. He says he needs to go down to the restaurant, and shares a kiss and final goodbye with Sheila.
Deacon arrives at II Giardino and meets Judge Scott. It turns out the two are old acquaintances and Deacon help Scott out of a jam. A disguised Sheila enters and sits nearby, listening to their conversation. Scott says he owed Deacon a favor but was stunned by what he asked. Deacon says he and Sheila have a history, and Scott understand his reason for the favor. Scott says thanks to Deacon, Sheila’s a free woman.
