The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Stephanie Tries Ushering Eric Into The Light

Today’s The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 15, 2023, details Eric’s perilous surgery — and what happened when it was all over.

Is This The End Of Eric?

In the hospital waiting room, Donna (Jennifer Gareis) tried telling herself everything would be ok while Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) wondered if he did the right thing. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) assured Ridge that he had faith in her husband and her gut told her Finn (Tanner Novlan) would be able to pull off a miracle.

When a nurse told them there had been a complication, Ridge immediately regretted his decision. He didn’t want his father to die while struggling on an operating table. Clearly, pulling the plug before his loved ones got a chance to say goodbye was a much better idea.

Finn and Bridget (Ashley Jones) did everything they could to save Eric when he started hemorrhaging. They worked as fast as they could and finally found where the blood was coming from. Amazingly, they managed to stabilize Eric’s vitals.

Finally, Bridget and Finn told their family that Eric made it through the surgery and now they had to keep their fingers crossed that the procedure worked and Eric would get more years. It was a waiting game for now as Ridge still hoped his choice was the right one.

When Ridge rudely asked if wait and see was all Finn could tell them, Steffy rightfully chastised her father for being an ingrate by just saying the word “Dad.”

As Eric lay unconscious in recovery, he remembered his grand soiree. Then, he saw the light as Stephanie (Susan Flannery) called him home and a tear ran down his cheek.

RJ’s In Love

Back at the design office, Luna (Lisa Yamada) gifted RJ (Joshua Hoffman) a framed photo of Eric and RJ designing together. She even wanted to give one to Eric. As they awkwardly talked some more, RJ confessed that he was directionless until Luna came along.

Then, everything seemed to click in his life. Luna admitted she’d never had a serious boyfriend, but all she wanted to do was kiss RJ. She was waiting for the right guy and thought RJ was it. RJ suddenly confessed that he was in love with Luna, but she couldn’t say the words back at first. She could only say “ditto”.

She even remembers the first time she laid eyes on him, which made her realize that she did love RJ.
