What should have been the wedding of the year turned into a nightmare for Chad DiMera. The rug was pulled out from underneath him on Days of our Lives when he learned his wife wasn’t really his wife at all. She is nothing but an imposter! We can understand if your natural instinct is to revert to thinking Abigail is dead and this was just a long con by the sinister Clyde Weston (James Read). That’s a natural response to something this twisty. For a hot second we, too, thought that maybe Clyde dug up Abigail’s grave and moved her body knowing what would happen when Marin (AnnaLynne McCord) came on the scene. But, what if that’s not what happened?

What if Clyde is still holding Abigail somewhere and she’s still very much alive and very much suffering under his control? Oh, sure, Clyde is behind bars now but he hasn’t been there long and we know he’s well-versed in pulling off the worst kinds of crimes while donning his prison blues and sleeping in his concrete cell. He’s a mastermind.
Days of our Lives…and Nightmares
Does Clyde have Abigail tucked away for a rainy day? If so, we need to know how he pulled it off and how he’s kept this going. Is Rolf in on the action? Is Abigail lying in wait in one of those awful pods they used on Marlena (Deidre Hall), Kate (Lauren Koslow), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), and Bo (Peter Reckell)? Is she locked in a dungeon? Was she cast away on a deserted island like Sarah (Linsey Godfrey)?
No matter what may or may not have happened to Abigail, the biggest hurdle will be getting the truth out of Clyde. He loves playing games and thrives on having the upper hand and dangling it to torment his enemies. When Chad eventually does go after the truth, he’s going to have to act hard, fast, and furious…and maybe even knock Clyde around a bit to make him talk. And, even then, can he trust what Clyde says?
Chad is facing an uphill battle in the aftermath of Clyde’s plan falling apart. This could very well be a war to end all wars. Once Chad catches his breath and takes a beat, he’s going to show Clyde that he messed with the wrong family!
