Ron Carlivati, who served as the headwriter of Days of our Lives since July 2017, has bid the NBC sudser adieu.
Ron Carlivati Exiting DAYS
Per Deadline, Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford will replace Carlivati with immediate effect. Due to DAYS’ accelerated production schedule, episodes plotted by Carlivati will continue to unspool well into April 2025.
Far from a soap opera neophyte, Cwikly has penned dialogue for The Young and The Restless, As The World Turns and Sunset Beach and she worked as both an associate and head writer at DAYS in the early aughts.
Prior to her elevation, Ford, who started his career at the soap as a writer’s assistant in 1992, penned breakdowns. She has also toiled at As The World Turns and One Life To Live.
Said executive producer Ken Corday in a statement: “We look forward to approaching our 60th Anniversary next year with Paula and Jeanne Marie at the helm and fresh, exciting stories that we know the fans will embrace. We wish Ron nothing but the best and thank him for his dedication and the respect he has shown to me, the cast, and the show’s legacy.”
