Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for November 8, 2023, details big anniversaries in Salem on the day the soap turns 58.
A Jarlena Celebration To Remember

Eric (Greg Vaughan) arrived at the Black residence so he and Brady (Eric Martsolf) could give their parents an anniversary gift. The grown boys waited for John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) to emerge from their room, but knew it was going to take a while.
The subject soon turned to EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) marriage. Brady wondered if that was why Eric married Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) so suddenly the night before. Eric denied things and wondered why he’d pick the same anniversary as Nicole, as well as an anniversary the day before John and Marlena’s and Victor’s (John Aniston) and Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers).
John and Marlena didn’t know what their sons had planned as they enjoyed some strawberry body butter in bed and edible strawberry massage lotion because why not?
Finally, John and Marlena finished their time in bed and were happy to see Eric and Brady in the living room. They were touched when the boys presented them with a custom-made wooden family tree as six years was supposed to symbolize wood.
When the boys were gone, John finally surprised Marlena with strawberries and whipped cream while she gave him some golf clubs. John thought six years symbolized candy and sweets while Marlena thought it was iron.
Steve And Kayla Suspect Konstantin

Poor Maggie was also remembering her own anniversary. This was the day she married Victor and all she could do was remember their life together. As Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) listened to her mother and offered support, Konstantin listened in.
Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) stopped by to visit and were fascinated by Victor’s new portrait above the mantle. That’s when Maggie told them all about her new friend Konstantin. Soon, the man of the hour arrived with some Sweet Bits baked goods.
Once alone, Steve told Kayla that Konstantin (John Capelos) was lying about everything. Even the tablecloth he claimed was from Greece was really from a clearance wrack. Konstantin was dumb enough to leave the tag on it.
More Strife For Sarah And Xander

Sarah had her own issues to think about, as well. Today was her day in court and she didn’t think that she and Xander (Paul Telfer) could work out a reasonable custody agreement. Maggie warned her that she could lose her daughter if she didn’t.
Later, Sarah was walking with the baby in the Square when she ran into Xander. was enamored by his daughter and asked Sarah to postpone the hearing so Maggie didn’t have to worry about her on her and Victor’s anniversary. Xander still just wanted to work things out over a cup of tea.
Sarah and Xander finally started getting along and talking when Eric found her and announced he had just been served with a subpoena to testify against her in the custody case. This ruined any goodwill between Xarah.
A New Job For Theresa

Theresa (Emily O’Brien) had a nightmare that Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) figured out that she forged his mother’s signature to make it look as if he was Victor’s son. In the dream, he called her a liar, a cheat, and a user, but she was relieved when she woke and realized none of it was real. Alex was still happy with her and all was sort-of right with the world.
She soon left to pick up something for breakfast and ran into Xander in Horton Square. As expected, the two squabbled when Xander accused her of cozying up to Alex for his Kiriakis fortune. She accused him of being jealous that he was not Victor’s long-lost son, although she knew that he was.
When Theresa returned to the apartment, Alex had a business proposition. He wanted Theresa to help him revive Bella Magazine. Theresa was all for the idea.
