Today’s Days of Our Lives recap for October 26, 2023, has Chad getting a big surprise, more drama in the baby Victoria custody fight, and Theresa continuing her game with Alex.

Steve Can’t Mind His Own Business

Days of Our Lives – Chad and Stephanie

Marlena (Deidre Hall), Steve (Stephen Nichols), and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) were thrilled to see Charlotte and Thomas walk into The Brady Pub in their Halloween costumes with babysitter Kate (Lauren Koslow) not far behind. Kayla had to take Steve aside and make sure he didn’t mention marriage to Chad (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) when they arrived to get Chad’s kids.

Chad was dressed as a vampire working from home but when he saw Stephanie dressed as a queen, he could only think of Abby (Marci Miller) dressed the same way at her final Halloween. Stephanie felt terrible but Chad told her not to feel bad about it and assured her that she looked beautiful.

Chad and Stephanie finally met up with the kids at the pub and the adults were confused as to why Stephanie wasn’t wearing a costume. However, Steve had other concerns and asked to speak to Chad alone. He wanted to discuss marriage again, now that he knew it wasn’t foremost on Chad’s mind. Since it was on Stephanie’s mind, he thought Chad had a right to know.

Steve soon confessed his faux pas to Kayla despite her warning. As for Chad, he thought it would be a good idea to have a long talk with Stephanie.

Sarah And Xander Can’t Get It Together

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) was surprised when she overheard Konstantin on the phone telling someone, “Neither one of us wanted it to be Xander.” He was talking to Theresa (Emily O’Brien) but she did not know that. When Konstantin hung up and cooed over her baby, Sarah brought up the fact that he was just mentioning her child’s father.

Konstantin quickly made an excuse for himself and told her all about Xander’s (Paul Telfer) bad reputation back in Greece. After all, he was the black sheep of the Kiriakis clan. Sarah ended up telling Konstantin all about the custody battle because she felt she could trust the man. To gain her trust more, Konstantin told her not telling Xander he was the baby’s father was a smart move.

Sarah later paid a visit to Kayla at the hospital to get her old job back. She figured being gainfully employed would certainly help her in the custody case.

At his apartment, Xander told Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) not to hold back during the custody hearing. He was willing to do whatever it took to gain custody of Victoria Margaret. When he hung up the phone, he was happy to see Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) at the door but she was not there for a happy visit. Instead, she took him to task for suing for custody of her granddaughter.

She couldn’t believe Xander claimed that Sarah was an unfit mother just because she tried to keep the baby away from him. Xander reminded Maggie that she did the same thing as Sarah because she knew he was Victoria’s father the whole time.

Maggie apologized for lying to him and explained that she begged Sarah to tell the truth and wanted her to take Xander back, but Sarah was an adult and she couldn’t control her. When they finally called a truce, Maggie mentioned Konstantin was in town and Xander admitted that Konstantin was not very fond of him.

When Maggie returned home, Konstatin had a surprise for her — a beautiful framed portrait of Victor to hang over the mantle. There was clearly something off about the painting but Maggie was none the wiser.

Theresa Can’t Believe Her Luck

Days of Our Lives – Alex and Theresa

Theresa was alarmed when she came across a bloodied Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) in the park, but it turned out to only be fake blood. An activist group splashed it on him to protest a Titan environmental violation. Alex suggested they go back to his place to change, but Theresa said she’d prefer to be taken to lunch.

They were finally settled in to eat in Horton Square when Xander happened by and warned Alex he was making a mistake by being involved with Theresa. As the three argued, Theresa was happier than ever with her trick with the two Kiriakis Alexanders. Xander was a mess, Alex wanted her more each day, and her plan was working perfectly.
