Today’s The Young and the Restless recap for October 26, 2023, has Nick doing what he felt was right, Victor continuing with his plan, and Adam taking pity on himself around Sally.
Sharon Has Some Advice For Nick
The Young and the Restless – Sharon
Sharon (Sharon Case) was surprised to see Nick (Joshua Morrow) at Crimson Lights when she was trying to close up. When she asked if he had talked to Victor (Eric Braeden), he ended up telling her that Victor had been faking dementia. Sharon was absolutely horrified that Victor would do a thing like that.
Nick explained that Victor was trying to weed out which of his children was disloyal, something that perplexed Sharon because Nick and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) had never betrayed Victor. Nick believed Adam (Mark Grossman) was Victor’s real target and hated that Victor was still trying to give Adam a chance instead of just deciding he was disloyal and kicking him out of the clan.
Sharon tried to get Nick to see things from Victor’s point of view. Adam was his son and he loved him. Maybe he wanted to make sure that Adam was loyal rather than disloyal so he’d finally know he could trust his youngest son. Eventually, Sharon figured out that Adam might not be Victor’s target. Perhaps it was Victoria and Nate (Sean Dominic).
Nick Tells All As Victor Plots
The Young and the Restless – Victor
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was glad that Nick now knew the truth, but Victor wanted to tell him on his own time. Nikki didn’t really care how Victor felt and demanded he tell Victoria what was really going on. Victor admitted that he only trusted her and Nick so Victoria would remain in the dark.
While Victor explained that Victoria was furious about her demotion, Nikki insisted she was still his daughter and had proven her loyalty time and again. She didn’t understand how Victor could trick Victoria like this and told Victor to make sure Adam was once again outside the family looking in.
Victor informed her he still had one last part of his plan to put into place. However, he was not about to tell Nikki what it was. The stakes were high and The Great Victor Newman was going to do things his way. Nikki warned him none of this would end well.
Meanwhile, Victoria couldn’t get the situation off her mind. She sat in bed with Nate and worried that Adam would use Victor’s ‘illness’ against him. Nate wasn’t worried because he had power over Adam at the moment and could watch every move he made. Nate was going to come up with a plan and get Victor on board. Victoria just wished she had been born into a normal family.
Imagine her surprise when Nick reminded Victoria just how abnormal her family is by revealing Victor’s big secret. She had no idea that Victor had summoned Nate to the ranch right at that very moment, telling him he was the only one he could trust.
Adam Commiserates With Sally
The Young and the Restless – Sally and Adam
While his siblings worried about his loyalty, Adam was distraught as he joined Sally (Courtney Hope) at the GCAC bar. Sally insisted that she and Nick were kinda-sorta over but there was no finality to their relationship. Sally admitted their kiss confused her but Adam apologized for kissing her at all if she really wanted Nick.
Adam insisted he poisoned everything he touched whether it was his intention or not, but Sally assured him that wasn’t true. Sally saw that Adam was hurting and offered to listen to his problems. Adam told her his dad had been acting erratic and he worried there was something very wrong with him.
He even blamed himself for Victor allegedly ‘losing it’ because he really was disloyal to Victor last year when he broke things off with Sally. He wanted to punish all of them but now regretted everything he’d done. He lost Sally and now he may have hurt his father.
Sally chose to believe Adam was sincere in his regrets and suggested he work with his siblings to help Victor. Adam was appreciative of Sally’s pep talks and said she inspired him.
