Despite being soundly unsure as to the trajectory of his character, Christopher Cousins is aware that he’ll be sticking around The Young and the Restless for some time to come.
Christopher Cousins Extends His Stay On Y&R
As the actor explained to Soaps In Depth, “[They’re] keeping me on, which I’m very grateful for. I don’t know for how long or what, but I’m doing at least some episodes through May, it looks like. I don’t know what I can say about that, so I won’t say anything.
“But I mean, I’m very pleasantly surprised. Because I thought it would be… I think originally [they] said you’d do 10 episodes or so in April. So the fact that they’re continuing is a nice little bonus. So I’m very happy.”
Cousins also had nothing but praise for his costars: “Eileen [Davidson, Ashley Abbott] is someone that I’ve always thought was amazing, so that was a great opportunity,. But Trevor [St. John, Tucker McCall] and I had one small scene together… and I really enjoyed it because it was a very different scene. I’d love to work with him, just more stuff with him. But it’s great working with Beth [Maitland, Traci Abbott] and Peter [Bergman, Jack Abbott] and they’re all really, really cool guys. So it’s great.”
What do you make of Cousins’ extended stay? Do you think that Alan will manage to integrate Ashley’s bevy of alternate personalities? Might he *GULP* die trying? Let us know what’s on your mind in the comments section below.
