Today’s General Hospital recap for October 25, 2023, details Michael’s move to control his wife’s life, Liesl returning to PC, Sasha staying in PC, and Ava and Trina having a heart-to-heart.
Michael Plays Dirty
General Hospital – Michael and Nina
Nina (Cynthia Watros) was surprised when Michael (Chad Duell) arrived at her office but she put on a friendly face, inviting him and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) back to Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) island for an extended stay. Nina finally realized something was wrong when Michael told her that his family wouldn’t be spending much time with her in the future.
Nina was confused over Michael’s change of heart and questioned him until he played the recording he made of Marty (Michael E. Knight) confessing that he called the SEC at Nina’s behest. Nina correctly assumed that Michael coerced Michael into getting Marty to betray attorney-client privilege, but she knew he hadn’t told Sonny yet.
Nina also correctly pointed out that she didn’t do anything illegal by reporting a crime, unlike Michael’s mother, who committed an actual crime. Nina asked to know what Michael wanted from her. Michael’s demands were simple in Michael’s mind. He would control when she could see Willow and Wiley, plus Nina would have to sell her share of the Metro Court back to Carly.
Nina was horrified at the thought but then outraged when Michael told her she wasn’t going to get off so easy for turning in two people who committed a crime. That statement infuriated Nina and she lashed out at Michael, pointing out how easy Carly (Laura Wright) got off by keeping both of her adult children from her just because she felt like it.
In a glorious speech that was a long time coming, Nina told Michael straight out that what she did to Carly and Drew (Cameron Mathison) was nothing compared to what Carly did to her and nobody was going to keep her away from her daughter ever again.
She admitted turning Nina and Drew in was an impulsive move, but she’d explain it to Willow. Michael was unfazed as he pointed out how much Drew meant to his wife. In Michael’s mind, there was no way Willow would ever forgive her for putting Drew behind bars. He also warned her that the truth would end her new marriage to Sonny.
Willow Reunited With Liesl
General Hospital – Willow and Liesl
Over at GH, Willow was happy to be with family when Aunt Liesl (Katheen Gati) paid her a visit. She spent the last few months at a spa rejuvenating herself after a difficult year and hoped Willow and Nina would join her there one day. Willow said she wasn’t sure Nina would want to go on a vacation without Sonny now that they were married. It turned out this marriage was news to Liesl.
Liesl was furious to hear other people were at the elopement but not her. Then, it dawned on her that Willow actually attended her mother’s wedding and she was thrilled that they were growing closer. Willow even admitted that life couldn’t be better at the moment.
Sonny Did Carly A Big Favor
Sonny and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) sat in his office and discussed the fact that Cyrus (Jeff Kober) had been released from jail. Sonny was sure he was the person blackmailing Ava and wanted this problem taken care of. He needed to figure out what Cyrus would do next.
Soon, Carly stopped in freaked out that Drew wasn’t allowed any visitors. She needed Sonny’s help to find out what was going on over at Pentonville. Sonny was able to learn that Drew was in solitary confinement for his own protection.
Sasha Decided To Stay In Port Charles
General Hospital – Oct 25 – Sasha
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) dropped by the Q stables to check up on Cody (Josh Kelly) and make sure he still had a job. Cody was happy to report that Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) wouldn’t allow him to be fired just for helping Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) out of a serious jam. When Dante mentioned that Sasha would be happy to know this, Cody said that Sasha was probably already gone.
Dante admitted he tried to talk Sasha out of leaving, but it was to no avail. Dante understood why Sasha would want to start fresh somewhere else. Still, Dante knew that Cody had feelings for Sasha or he wouldn’t have done all that he did for her.
The subject then turned to Mac. Dante advised his friend to just tell Mac the truth already so he’d know they were father and son. Obviously, Cody wanted Mac to find out since he recently confessed to Sasha and Sam. Dante pointed out that Mac believed in him and had a right to know the truth.
After Dante left, Cody had a one-sided chat with Comet about his life before Sasha appeared at the door. She wasn’t leaving after all. The timing was perfect because Maxie (Kirsten Storms) had just ordered Lucy (Lynn Herring) to call her and ask her to remain the Face of Deception.
Trina Moved Ava To Tears
General Hospital – Ava
Ava (Maura West) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) met up for coffee and Trina was horrified to learn what happened to Ava. She couldn’t lose her as she was a second mother and wanted to know what really happened, but Ava dodged her questions.
The subject turned to Trina’s New York trip. Trina thanked Ava for making it even more special by introducing her to the world of art. Thanks to Ava, she was able to have an immersive experience at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as well as a romantic weekend with Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).
The whole talk brought Ava to tears as she explained there weren’t many people in her life who cared about her. She was grateful to have Trina because she loved her with no agenda in mind.
